Wino’s rejoice! Expect to see wine inspired hues in everything from cars to cosmetics. Pantone, the company known for it’s color matching system and trend forecasts, has announced the 2015 color of the year - Marsala.
The hue is inspired by the Italian wine Marsala, a wine produced in the region surrounding the city of Marsala in Sicily. Pantone says of its selection:
"Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors."

On December 29, 2016, I had my Fallopian tubes completely removed because I've decided to remain child free. It feels like a great burden has been lifted and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. In the coming weeks, I'll be writing about why I made this choice, what the procedure was like, and how I've battled my insurance company for the coverage I am rightfully owed by law. I am passionate about reproductive rights and believe that women cannot achieve equality without gaining control over our own bodies. Below you'll find information about how to obtain no-cost birth control.
Sooooo yeah, it’s been a rough year, not least because I’m one of the many women who has been sexually assaulted and harassed, and now live in a country where a man accused of assaulting at least a dozen women (and boasted about it) was just handed the nation's top job. After making my way through the 5 stages of grief I decided to put together a list of a few favorite 2016 moments.
I had a much treasured, old fashioned phone call with my sister recently. We covered a wide range of topics, but one in particular still has me thinking - hearing voices.
A look at my newest addiction - fountain pens!
Just in time for the holidays and last minute gift giving ;)
I just got back from a wonderful New Orleans trip to visit family. Whilst there I also managed to "make time” to pick up some exciting new art supplies from my favorite local shop - David Art Supply. Here’s a look at just one of the many new sets of drawing pencils I acquired - Cretacolor Nero pencils.
