Nikole Hannah-Jones is an American investigative journalist. Her work focuses on racial segregation and desegregation in American schools as well as exposing systemic institutional racism. Her most recent project, the 1619 Project, uncovers how every facet of American life continues to be impacted by the legacy of American slavery.
