Studio Life: Larger Than Life Portrait Painting
Glimpse of a colorful messy artist studio. In the center is a larger than life work in progress portrait painting in a kaleidoscope of color. In the foreground color swatches, paint tubes, and brushes sit on a yellow cart. A standing desk and pegboard with watercolor paint tubes is visible in the background.
Sneak peek at a new portrait. 👀
Going epic for this next portrait. At 36” x 48” it’ll be my largest portrait painting to date.
The panel is sitting on a Christmas present to myself - my first professional easel. All these years painting and I’ve never had a proper full-size easel.
It’s a really special milestone that I couldn’t have done without everyone who has been an inspiration, cheered me on, collected my work, THANK YOU.
Stay tuned. More behind the scenes sneak peeks to come…
Sneak peek at a new portrait. This will be painted in acrylic on a smooth gessoed wood panel. Acrylic is still a relatively new medium for me and it feels like turning my brain inside out.
